Camp Nanchang

The waiting is almost over, tomorrow we leave Nanchang for Guangzhou. Living out of a hotel room for a week is very much like camping, well with a few more conveniences (shower, indoor plumbing) and they clean the rooms, but for the most part since this is the middle of a city we can't just go out and play. For those not aware the water in China is ok for bathing, washing clothes but that is about it. Here is our kitchen, dish area, the bottles have been cleaned with boiled water, the rag over the faucet is to remind us not to use except for washing hands.

Fortunately we have a Aunt Val and an Uncle dale to play with the older little girls, and as you know playing is what it is all about.

This morning started at the same time as all have, about 0600 for mom and dad with the little ones sleeping in a little longer. Then it was time for Mia's first bath, something Melissa had been quietly apprehensive about not knowing if Mia would like the water, we will let you judge for your self if she likes water....

After a quick bath, breakfast it was time for a little sight seeing, and NO shopping much to the relief of dad. The goal was simple, a trip to the temple down the street. The weather has continued to be wonderful so with all the kids bundled up off we went...

Opportunity presented itself and partial group photo spot opened up.

Just before nap time dad got some play time with Mia..

The Meinen's say good day to you and good bye to Nanchang

to bathe....or not to bathe...that is the expression...

your group family photo at the end is so wonderful....what a beautiful spot. And Maddie...she looks so grown up!

Safe travels to your next destination. Getting really excited about seeing you.

Ahhhh, yes. It all looks so familiar: the bathroom/kitchen/laundry room, the beds, the lobby.

I never thought I'd be sentimental about the Gloria and our small room. That felt smaller every day.

Have a safe flight to Guangzhou!

I so enjoy going out to the blog every day to read the updates and see the wonderful photos. Mia looks quite contented with her new chapter of life. And, Miss Maddie seems to be enjoying her new role as big sis. Fun adventures await these little ones. Blessings to you as you continue your journey.
Love to all,
Duff
