After some very much needed sleep our day included The Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square, a silk factory, The Temple of Heaven, and a Gong Fu show. I don’t think we went more than 25 miles in our travels but Beijing traffic is like NYC, walking and biking would be quicker. The weather was sunny, clear, but I don’t think it made it above zero (that is 32deg F for those in the USA). Our fearless leader, Rocky Yu provided insight all through the day. With Val and Maddie having never meet a person that was not a friend within moments we all got along wonderfully a total of 8 families are here including the Meinen’s for some sight seeing and adjustment prior to the big day (that will forever change our lives) on Sunday. It has been a wonderful but long cold day so I’ll end for now, more tomorrow, enjoy some pictures (worth well over 1,000 of my words) from Beijing…
Good Night (everyone else over here is sleeping now it is my turn)

Good to hear from you! Looks like you're having a wonderful time. We're thinking of you! The Hales
Oh my gosh, it is so amazing to be able to watch this journey as you are on it. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us. Kenzie can't wait to meet Maddie's baby sister...and we can't wait to see the beautiful pictures that will come when Mia meets her forever family. Love to you all!
Have a wonderful and safe trip! Give my kisses and hugs to Maddie and also to Mia on Sunday! What a beautiful family, thank you for sharing this event! Congratulations!!!
Brrrrr. Looks like you're having a great time. Hard to believe only 24 hrs (more or less) 'til you get to hold your precious daughter. As for your precocious...errr...precious daughter #1, give her a squeeze for us and tell HER not to squeeze her baby sister too hard when she meets her. Your "Love Log" (no mere "travel" log this) is wonderful. We'll watch for the next update. In the meantime, and always, God watch over each of you and Mia. Love, Ron and Kay
